COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT OF SOUTH TAMA COUNTY
The Board of Directors of the Community School District of South Tama County met on August 1, 2016 in Special Session meeting at the Professional Learning Room, Partnership Center, Tama, Iowa at 5:30 p.m.
On call of the roll the following were present: Michelle Yuska, Mark McFate, Alan Kline and Penny Tyynismaa. Absent: Jackie Dvorak. Quorum Present.
Also present were: Mary Jones, Mary Boege, Joyce Wiese, Dan Lopez, Drema Lopez, Rhonda Shaw, Chad Woosley and Kris Collins.
Motion by Tyynismaa, second by Kline to approve the agenda. All Ayes.
Motion by McFate, second by Kline to approve the following personnel requests as presented pending suitable replacements for the resignations. All Ayes
Contracts - Linda Schuler - .5 Preschool, Levi Kaufman - Assistant Wrestling.
Internal Transfers - Troy Wanatee - Title VII Aide to MS Special Education Aide.
Resignations - Bryan Anderson - 7th Boys Basketball

Motion by Kline, second by Tyynismaa to approve the first reading of Board Policy 402.01 Equal Educational Opportunity. All Ayes.
Motion by Tyynismaa, second by Kline to approve the first reading of Board Policy 500 - Objectives for Equal Educational Opportunities for Students. All Ayes.
Motion by Kline, second by Tyynismaa to table the approval of the Anti-Bullying/Anti- Harassment and Hazing & Discrimination Policies & Forms Handbook. All Ayes.
Motion by Kline, second by McFate to approve the Preschool, Elementary, Middle School and High School Handbooks with the proposed changes All Ayes.
Motion by Tyynismaa, second by Kline to table the MICA Contract until the prices charged for adult meals are corrected. All Ayes
Motion by Tyynismaa, second by Kline to adjourn the meeting into an exempt session to discuss the Superintendent's Evaluation at 7:17 p.m. All Ayes.
