This week, the South Tama County Middle School Student-Athlete Spotlight swings to Jaelin Berger.  Jaelin is an 8th grader at STC.  She is a guard for the Trojan basketball team.

The 2014 Lady Trojans season has been a successful one with the help of Jaelin’s talents. “She has been a player that has grown a lot as a ball player and performed her role on the team nicely. She has a real love for the game”, commented Coach Wanatee.

Jaelin is an active middle schooler. In addition to basketball, she is involved in band, softball, track & field, and volleyball. She is a member of Pam’s School of Dance, plays AAU volleyball, and suits up for the Iowa Intensity basketball team as well. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family and hoarse back riding.

Jaelin has proved to be a hard working and talented student in the classroom as well. She has received various academic awards and been named to the honor roll in her three years at the middle school.

Jaelin is the daughter of Julie Berger of rural Tama.
