2024 South Tama District Special Education Delivery Plan
Special Education Delivery Plan
The South Tama County Community School District invites all district stakeholders to provide feedback on the updated District-Developed Service Delivery Plan (DDSDP) for special education. The DDSDP outlines the system of delivery for instructional services to meet the needs of eligible individuals ages 3-21. As mandated by Iowa Administrative Code 281—41.408, every district must have a DDSDP, which details its development process and components. Our plan has been collaboratively developed by a group including parents of eligible individuals, special and general education teachers, administrators, and an AEA representative. It fulfills content requirements through a set of five questions and a series of assurances. We welcome your input and encourage you to provide your comments, either in writing or orally, to Samantha Peska at speska@s-tama.k12.ia.us by June 28. The district will review all feedback and consider necessary modifications to ensure the plan effectively serves our students. The finalized plan will be accessible on the South Tama School District Website following the July 22 school board meeting.
